This conference room No. 19 in the United Nations Office in Geneva was donated by Qatar. After a year of renovation and decoration, a grand opening ceremony was held in November 2019. The Swiss agent of Shenzhen Taidian (TAIDEN), the conference solution expert Media Vision, after fierce competition in the bidding process initiated by the project construction and design consulting company Peia Associati, stood out and provided the audio and video (AV) turnkey project for the conference room The delivery was made. The size of conference room No. 19 should not be underestimated, and 44 kilometers of cables need to be laid under the floor of the main conference area. This "New Qatar Pavilion" has 800 seats, making it the largest conference room with the highest technical specifications of the United Nations Office in Geneva.

The core of this project is the 330 TAIDEN multimedia conference terminals customized by Shenzhen Taipower for the United Nations. The delegate seats are equipped with 12-inch displays. Through four video selection buttons, participants can independently switch and select the display content on the screen. Camera signal, or presentation content displayed on the large screen, etc.; there is also an information button to call up the list of speeches and requests to speak, and the participants will know who is speaking and who is the next speaker. The 9 seats on the rostrum are equipped with a 14-inch paperless multimedia conference unit, so that guests on the rostrum can easily watch the video content without turning back; at the same time, the paperless module also allows the chairman to check in, voting, and other conference processes. control.

Each representative seat is equipped with two E-ink electronic ink nameplates. The control room is equipped with an AMX touch screen central control panel and TAIDEN conference management system software, which contains a layout diagram of the conference room, which can be used to turn on or turn off the microphone. A TAIDEN conference dedicated mixer is also set up next to it, which can create and save preset volume settings for each speaker, and automatically restore to its preset volume when the speaker turns on the microphone. The operator can determine whether the speaker's volume is too low and operate to increase the volume. When the microphone is turned off, the volume setting will be saved and the memory will be recalled when the microphone is turned on again. The volume setting information of up to 4000 microphones can be saved.

The translation room in Conference Room 19 is equipped with the latest TAIDEN interpreter desk, with simultaneous input and three output buttons in seven languages, all of which are designed in line with the latest ISO standards. Each interpreter is equipped with a separate display, and the four source selection buttons on the side allow the interpreters to choose to watch the camera, PPT document or the screen of the speech and request list. This project also has a dedicated sign language translation room for translation from spoken language to sign language. The application of this sign language translation booth is the first in the world: a sign language interpreter uses a TAIDEN infrared receiver to listen to a conference, and stands in front of a height-adjustable 43-inch Sony display, facing a 4k camera for sign language translation. Then the video signal will be displayed on the large screen of the venue in the form of picture-in-picture, or sent to the individual representative seats in full-screen form.
